Crowns
Crowns are advised when it is necessary to protect, strengthen and restore teeth. They may also be used to cover discoloured or misshapen teeth to improve the overall appearance of your smile.
Available in a range of materials, our crowns permanently sit over the entire visible surface of your existing tooth and are made to look as real as your own natural tooth.
The procedure takes two appointments. At the first appointment, we minimally shape the tooth and place a temporary crown. About 14 days later at your second appointment, we remove the temporary crown, place your new crown and check the fit and your bite.
The crown can last for many years if good oral hygiene is maintained, depending on the condition of the original tooth. Additional care should be taken to keep the crown and surrounding area clean. Your St Anne's Dental Practice dentist or dental hygienist will recommend an appropriate home care regime.

I have not been to the dentist for about or nearly 20 years. I was afraid of the discomfort and sensory overwhelm. Recently I've been experiencing some sensitivity and some recedeing gum line so I booked in with this clinic. The dentist who did my initial assessment was so efficient (i.e. no discomfort was prolonged) and kind, patient and gentle. I then went to the Hygenist. Again, she was efficient and kind, patient and gentle. She also taught me a way to floss that I didn't know about, and I now look after my teeth better as a result. It has been such a positive experience that I will be going back for some preventative work and will be seeing the hygenist more regularly.

The receptionist resolved an issue that I created using two email addresses. She managed to resolve this effectively and was very polite. The hygienist was great. The treatment was comfortable and she communicated the details about the treatment options.
